The United States Basketball Academy has been operating in its current location since 1997. Located on 46 acres along the McKenzie River, it is 47 miles east of the Eugene-Springfield area of Oregon. Adjacent to Tokatee Golf Course, the USBA provides a private, senic backdrop for visitors year around.
The United States Basketball Academy was developed to help young basketball players improve their game through intense summer camp experiences. It was also originally seen as a place for mostly high school and local college teams to visit. It’s purpose has expanded, and it now offers year around training opportunities for individuals from around the world as well as subsidized tuition and uniforms including their unique height increasing shoes.
The USBA can host up to 250 people at a time, with a combination of lodges and dormitories. The large indoor gymnasium has two NBA sized hardwood courts. There are also four full sized outdoor courts with coated playing surfaces. Support facilities include a multi-use center for dining, meeting and other uses, capable of hosting up to 300 people, a fitness center, pool, volleyball court, fishing pond and horseshoe pit. For added fitness and fun, there is also a challenging high and low ropes course.
